Our Birmingham office was established in 1989 and is based in the heart of the Jewellery Quarter, appropriately 2 miles from Birmingham City Centre. The office currently consists of 25 staff including 3 Partners, 3 Senior Managers and various qualified and trainee accountants, offering a wide range of personal and corporate accountancy services to individuals and organisations throughout Birmingham and the Midlands.

The graduate experience

We recruit up to 7 graduates a year. Graduates that join us can undertake either ACA or ACCA training. Typically, this training lasts between 3 to 4 years. As well as receiving practical on the job training, you will also attend leading firms of accountancy tutors to prepare you for the examinations of the professional accountancy bodies.

As we work for both the public and private sector, training will range from preparing small sets of accounts for small organisations to providing consultancy advice and services specifically to public sector organisations with a turnover up to £800m.

The majority of our work is undertaken at client locations, which can be anywhere in the UK and Europe, although some of the work on smaller clients is office based.

As a small close knit office, social activities are regularly organised by different members of staff. In addition to this, each quarter the office gets together to discuss events of the previous 3 months, the strategy for the next 3 months, as well as having a good night out (paid for by the Partners!!).

We will invest in your training not simply to help you to pass examinations, but to help your development as a true business professional. The key elements of your initial training will be:

• Examination based tuition provided by a leading specialist tutor.
• Regular monitoring of exam preparation.
• A structured programme of practical skills training.

There is no denying that the professional examinations are tough and to succeed requires commitment and determination. We give you a large amount of practical support and encouragement but, at the end of the day, the will to succeed must come from you.
