Joining our Ascot based Tax Department, the successful candidate can expect to work as part of a close knit, growing team who will help them develop an understanding of the UK tax system including:

  • income tax
  • national insurance
  • corporation tax
  • capital gains tax
  • inheritance tax

With a varied workload based on the affairs of private high net worth individuals and owner-managed businesses from all sectors, daily tasks can change frequently.  Initially preparing personal tax returns under careful supervision, progressing to higher-level tax planning and strategy, the role offers room for natural progression within a constantly changing environment.
Successful candidates will receive structured training towards the ATT professional qualification through external examination-based training and comprehensive work-based learning, with opportunities to progress onto the CTA qualification.

Essential Criteria:

  • You must have or expect to achieve at least a 2:1 degree.  Applications are accepted from any degree discipline; however a law degree would be an advantage
  • 300 UCAS tariff points (achieved in the same academic year from your best 3 A Levels, or equivalent, and excluding General Studies)
  • Grade B or above in GCSE Maths and English Language
  • Eligibility to work in the UK

Ideally, candidates will be able to demonstrate:

  • High level of numeracy
  • Intellectual calibre necessary to pass demanding professional examinations
  • Sound IT skills, preferably with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both spoken and written
  • Ability to develop team and client relationships across a range of individuals
  • Ability to work on own initiative, perform well under pressure, plan ahead and manage changing priorities
  • Enthusiasm in approach to work and training and ability to accept constructive criticism
  • Pleasant manner, bearing and speech
  • Full UK Driving Licence
