Making a difference
Assurance has never played a more vital role in restoring and maintaining public confidence in the world’s capital markets by providing an independent and reliable voice.
Ernst & Young is one of the most trusted, respected and influential organisations in the industry. Graduates can go further, faster, learning from the experts while working with diverse clients across industry sectors. All this experience is grounded in world-class training, mentoring and professional qualifications – the first step on a successful and varied career path.
GPS is a specialist Ernst & Young team that works specifically in the Government and Public Sector. Our clients range from local councils to police and fire services to NHS Trusts – organisations that touch the lives of each and every person in the country.
This makes GPS a fascinating and genuinely rewarding area in which to begin your Audit Assurance career. You will work at our client sites, understanding their business and their key financial systems. You will also be contributing to audits that ensure budgets are spent wisely and that the taxpayer is getting value for money. The results of these audits act as a key driver of modernisation and innovation in the public sector.
It’s a great graduate role as you will still get exposure to learn and understand our corporate audits, as well as specialising in the public sector. In addition to this and because GPS is a new growth area for us, you will also get to play a part in expanding the business, which will provide excellent learning and development experiences.
You’ll also work towards membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales (ICAEW) and a Chartered Accountancy qualification.
We have immediate vacancies on the GPS Audit Assurance Programme at the following locations:
– Cambridge
– Luton
– Reading
– Southampton
