Worldwide membership of ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) has increased from 154,000 to nearly 162,000 over 2012/13, with around 10,361 new members joining the accountancy body.
Student numbers have also gone up, with 61,311 currently studying for the ACCA qualification. 10,000 ACCA students qualified this year.
ACCA also invested in key development markets, opening new centres in Dalian, China; Kazakhstan and Indonesia.
