Accountancy pay rose by 7% during 2012, according to the accountancy and finance recruiters Marks Sattin.
In the 2013 Market Report, it was found that salary growth of 5% brought the average accountancy salary from £60,788 in 2011/12 to £64,022 in 2012/13. These figures represent the third year in a row of pay growth above inflation.
The average accountants’ bonus was £11,012, exceeding expectations by £1,409. This brings the average annual bonus to 17.2% of salaries.
