Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg has suggested the UK’s wealthiest people could be asked the pay more tax for a limited period.
Clegg suggested that in order for society to remain prosperous those with considerable wealth should contribute more.
Opposing MP’s have have accused Clegg of promoting the ‘politics of envy’ and have shared fears that a rise in tax could drive wealthier Britons abroad.
